Michigan announced its 2023 unemployment insurance tax rates and wage base in a newsletter issued by the state labor and economic opportunity department.
The tax rates for experienced employers in 2023 will continue to range from 0.06% to 10.3%.
Experienced employers’ tax rates consist of a chargeable benefits component, a nonchargeable benefits component, and an account building component. For 2023, the maximum chargeable benefits component will be 6.3%, the maximum nonchargeable component will be 1%, and the maximum account building component will be 3%.
The tax rate for new construction employers will remain 2.7% in 2023. The state has yet .
